Filomena Gionavazza is an experienced wine professional with a passion for wine and food pairing. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 certification.

With over a decade of experience in the wine industry, Filomena has worked as a sommelier at some of the finest restaurants in Las Vegas, including Mario Batali’s Carnevino and Michael Mina’s American Fish. She has also worked as a wine educator at the International Wine & Spirits Guild in Denver, Colorado, where she taught courses on wine tasting, wine pairing, and wine service.

Filomena is the editor of the Burroak Wine Pairings website, where she shares her expertise and knowledge about wine and food pairing. Her articles have been featured in various publications, including Wine Enthusiast, Food & Wine, and Wine Spectator.
